Educationist Krishnan Moose passes away
Kozhikode: Channazhi Krishnan Moose, one of the pioneers of parallel education in Kerala, and one of the founders of MB Tutorial College, passed away at a private hospital on Friday. He was 98.
As a social activist, Moose was involved in the Sarvodaya movement and had served in various roles such as state president of Yogakshema Sabha, vice-chairman of Sree Sankara Trust, leader of Gandhi Smriti Sadbhavana Rath Yatra, coordinator of Marad maitri support committee and president of Kozhikode Gandhi Peace Foundation.
He had been living at his house ‘Thulasi' at Florican Road. Moose has authored several works, including Gandhi Sandesham, Swami Rama, Kudumba Mitram, History of Indian Freedom Struggle, Shareera Shasthravum Prakrithi Jeevanavum, Adi Shankaranum Himalayathile Yogimarum, Sharana Keerthanangal, among others.
He leaves behind children Jyothi, Suresh, and Indu. His wife Parvathi Antharjanam predeceased him. He was a member of the Channazhi Illam at Ponmala, Malappuram. The funeral will take place at Mavoor Road crematorium at 3.30pm on Saturday.
