JHANSI: A man from Jhansi has expressed his apprehension through a viral video, fearing he might be murdered in the same manner as the ghastly Meerut blue drum murder by his wife and her paramour.
Pawan, from Mauranipur, a hamlet seventy kilometres from Jhansi, who was employed in the health department in Mahoba, registered a complaint at Mauranipur police station.
He alleged that his wife, a government school teacher, was having an illicit relationship with the local corporator.
Prior to this, he released a video that went viral, claiming that his wife might get him and his son killed, and their bodies might be discovered in a drum akin to the Meerut case.
In his complaint, Pawan mentioned that several days ago, he initiated a video call at night to see his child. During the call, he perceived the presence of an unknown man. Upon questioning, the video call was abruptly terminated.
Pawan also claimed that he previously discovered inappropriate chats between his wife and a man. He stated that he harbours no objection if his wife wishes to reside with the other man and is solely concerned about his son's welfare.
Subsequently, Pawan promptly contacted PRV 112 and reported an intruder in his residence. A police team hastened to the house situated in Gandhiganj and discovered a man, identified as local corporator Abhishek Pathak, departing the premises past midnight at around 1:30am.
A viral video captured corporator Pathak exiting Pawan's house whilst his wife stood at her doorstep. An agitated Pathak was recorded heckling the police officials and neighbours who were documenting the incident whilst disputing with them.
Conversely, the woman stated that she experienced abdominal pain and therefore summoned Pathak to procure some medicines.
CO Mauranipur Rambeer Singh stated that they received complaints from both parties and are investigating the matter before taking appropriate action.
