AAP misusing govt machinery, threatening us: BJP
Ludhiana: BJP leaders claimed on Saturday that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was misusing govt machinery to win the Ludhiana West by-election. During a press conference held at the district BJP office at Model Town Extension Road, the party's Punjab general secretary Anil Sareen, state vice-president Jatinder Mittal, state secretary Renu Thapar and Jeevan Gupta trained guns at the AAP govt.
They claimed that AAP members were flouting the norms of democracy. They said that after losing power in Delhi, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was trying to secure entry into Punjab by giving a ticket to Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora. He added that people of Punjab had realised that AAP was engaging in the politics of lies and deceit.
Anil Sareen said that BJP workers were threatened by Punjab Police and booth-wise lists were being sought. He added that they were pressurised in every way. Claiming that AAP representatives had made a mockery of democracy, Sareen said that people of Ludhiana would never let Arvind Kejriwal's dream come true.
