Nagpur: On the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti, students of Chirayu KC Bajaj College of Education staged a compelling street play reenacting the historic encounter between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Afzal Khan. The performance, held at Reserve Bank Square, drew a large audience, including history enthusiasts and local residents.
The event was graced by Dimpy Bajaj, treasurer of Sindhu Education Society, who lauded the students and faculty for bringing history to life through performing arts. The play effectively captured Shivaji Maharaj's courage, strategic brilliance, and leadership during this iconic duel.
Guided by principal Nidhi Mathur and the college's teaching staff, the well-coordinated presentation highlighted the students' dedication and teamwork. Mathur expressed her gratitude to the faculty and performers, emphasising their efforts in making the event a resounding success.
