NOIDA: A man from Gujarat was arrested on Saturday night after attempting to barge into the Greater Noida house of Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman who came under police scanner for illegally entering India to be with her partner.
Tejas Jani from Surendranagar in Gujarat was apprehended by police personnel stationed outside Seema's house in Rabupura before he could reach her.

Jani told his interrogators he had a troubled past — his father had been missing for four years, and his mother died of cancer five years ago. Police officials suspect he suffers from mental health issues, as he firmly believed that Seeman and her Indian partner, Sachin Meena, were conducting supernatural rituals that were causing him distress.
"Jani confessed he sought revenge on Seema Haider and Sachin for the alleged occult practices performed on him," said Sujeet Upadhyay, the SHO of Rabupura police station.
Jani's journey began on May 2, when he took a train from Surendranagar and travelled to Delhi on a general ticket. He then took multiple buses to reach Rabupura from New Delhi railway station.
After looking up Seema's address online, Jani reached her house around 7pm on Saturday. The cops that caught him discovered several screenshots and photos of Seema and her family members on his phone, suggesting a premeditated intent.
"Seema was on the terrace with her family members when the incident occurred. The man tried to force his way into the house, but was detained by on-duty constables," Upadhyay said.
While the incident caused temporary panic in the neighbourhood, police quickly brought the situation under control.
An FIR was registered against Jani under BNS sections for house trespass and intentional insult. Police confirmed he had no prior criminal record.
Seema Haider (32) has had a controversial history as well. Originally from Jacobabad in Pakistan's Sindh province, she left her home in Karachi in May 2023, entering India via Nepal. She made news in July that year when authorities discovered her living in Greater Noida with Sachin, whom she claims to have married.
