DRM inspects Danapur-Kiul route
Patna: Danapur divisional railway manager (DRM) Jayant Kumar Choudhary on Saturday conducted a comprehensive window-trailing inspection along the Danapur-Islampur-Natesar-Tilaiya-Ashokdham-Kiul route under the Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR). The inspection aimed to assess the ongoing infrastructure development works, station redevelopment plans and the implementation of safety measures across the division.
Accompanied by a team of technical experts, the DRM reviewed key upgrades taking place as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), with a particular focus on the redevelopment work underway at Fatuha railway station. The ABSS initiative is part of the railways' broader push to modernise stations with improved passenger amenities, better connectivity and enhanced safety protocols.
During the inspection, the DRM and his team closely examined track conditions, signalling systems, platform facilities and other critical aspects of railway infrastructure to ensure compliance with safety standards. Railway officials also reviewed significant progress in various ongoing infrastructure development works.
Choudhary emphasised the importance of such regular inspections in ensuring the smooth execution of development work and maintaining high standards of passenger safety.
In addition, the railways will run the Muzaffarpur-Secunderabad, Danapur-Secunderabad and Raxaul-Secunderabad Express trains up to Cherlapalli instead of Secunderabad due to the ongoing station upgradation works. These passenger trains will thus originate from and terminate at Cherlapalli until further orders, sources said.
