Foundation day of Buxar district celebrated

Buxar: Vishwamitra Mahotsav was organised at Quila Maidan here on Monday jointly by the art, culture and youth department and district administration on the occasion of 35th foundation day of the district.
A variety of cultural programmes were presented on this occasion, which included songs by eminent singer Kalpana Patwari. Presentations were made through dance dramas on the themes of Shri Ram Vishwamitra and Bihar's ‘gaurav gatha'. Earlier, a mini marathon, blood donation camp, prabhat feri and cleanliness drives were organised at different places of the district. DM, Anshul Agarwal, wished all the residents of the district on the foundation day. He said the district has a rich historical legacy.
