NOIDA: Seema Haider, a 32-year-old Pakistani national who entered India illegally in 2023 and married Sachin Meena in Rabupura, gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday morning.
Her lawyer, AP Singh, confirmed that the baby was born at 4 am in a private hospital. “Both mother and child are healthy. We will seek name suggestions from the public, and the most recommended name will be chosen,” he said.
Seema already has four children from her previous marriage, while this is her first child with Sachin.
A resident of Khairpur district in Pakistan’s Sindh province, Seema met Sachin through the online game PUBG during the COVID-19 lockdown. She traveled to Nepal, then entered India on May 13, 2023, via the Yamuna Expressway, where Sachin received her. He took her and her children to a rented house in Rabupura, just 200 meters from his family home.
However, suspicions arose about a Pakistani woman living in the area, prompting a police investigation. The couple fled to Ballabhgarh but was arrested on July 4 that year.
Police charged Seema, Sachin, and Sachin’s father, Netrapal, under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act and Section 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. They were granted bail by a Jewar court on July 7 and currently reside in Rabupura, Greater Noida. The couple claims they were married in Kathmandu in 2023.
