Patna: The CPI(ML) will hold a rally at Gandhi Maidan here on Sunday. "The rally will reflect the public anger against the NDA govt in the state," said CPI(ML) state secretary Kunal, adding that participants include several organisations actively agitating on various issues.
The CPI(ML)'s national convention in February 2023 in Patna saw participation from leaders of non-BJP parties, including CM Nitish Kumar (JD-U) and Salman Khurshid (Congress), contributing to the formation of the INDIA bloc for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, despite Nitish's later exit. The Sunday's rally is expected to galvanise Grand Alliance partners in Bihar.
Leaders from Jharkhand, UP, West Bengal and other states are expected to attend the rally. The CPI(ML) conducted mass campaigns across Bihar with its general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya leading a 100-km yatra in Seemanchal.
Arches, flags and hoardings were set up across Patna, marking the route to Gandhi Maidan for the rally.
