Bilaspur, Bhilai storm into final of Chhattisgarh T20 Tournament

RAIPUR: The Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh-organised Senior Elite Group Inter-District T20 Tournament 2024–25 is set for a thrilling conclusion, with Bilaspur and Bhilai securing their places in the final. The tournament, which began on April 26 and featured 10 teams, saw two decisive semi-finals on Tuesday. The final is scheduled for Wednesday at the RDCA Ground, Raipur.
In the first semi-final at RDCA Ground, Raipur, Bilaspur won the toss and elected to field against BSP. BSP was bowled out for 139 in 19.5 overs. Sangeet Soni (41) and Vaibhav Sahu (28) were the top scorers for BSP. Praveen Kumar of Bilaspur took 4 wickets, while Ravi Roshan Singh claimed 3, restricting BSP's innings.
Bilaspur successfully chased the target, scoring 143 for 4 in 19.2 overs. Pawan Parnate remained unbeaten on 41, and Irfan contributed a crucial 33 runs. Aishwary Maurya of BSP took 3 wickets. Bilaspur won the match by 6 wickets.
The second semi-final, held at BSP Sector-10 Ground, Bhilai, saw Bhilai defeat Plate Combined. Bhilai won the toss and chose to field. Plate Combined scored 174 all out in 20 overs, with Krish Chopda scoring 62 and Amit Yadav adding 34. For Bhilai, Diwakar Tamrakar took 4 wickets, and Anand Rao took 3.
Bhilai chased down the target, reaching 175 for 4 in 18.3 overs. Anand Rao remained unbeaten on 53, and Shubham Singh scored an unbeaten 40. Rohan Tank of Plate Combined took 3 wickets. Bhilai secured a 6-wicket victory, setting up the final clash against Bilaspur.
