Min: 4k families got LIFE homes in Nedumangad

T'puram: Over the past nine years, 4,000 families in Nedumangad municipality area were provided homes through LIFE scheme, said food and civil supplies minister G R Anil. He was speaking at opening of various projects in Nedumangad municipality, including a mini drinking water project and renovation of a waiting shed.
There were 94 extremely poor families in Nedumangad municipality, which has now been reduced to 16. As these families are uplifted from extreme poverty, Nedumangad municipality is transforming into a municipality without extreme poverty.
Within three months, there will be no person in Nedumangad constituency struggling for a land title. Remaining persons will be granted titles as soon as possible, Anil said. TNN
