Headless body of 70-year-old man found in Padra

Vadodara: Residents of Chokari village in Padra on Thursday evening found the body of a 70-year-old man, without a head, in a small room on his farm.
Police were called and their investigation revealed that the body was that of Kuber Gohil, a resident of Chokari. Gohil used to live alone in the room near his field to keep an eye on his crop. On Thursday, locals had gone to his room as nobody had seen him in the village for the last couple of days.
They first called out Gohil's name and knocked at the door. When they didn't get a response, they opened the door and found the headless body on the floor. "This is a case of murder. The perpetrator cut off his head with a bladed weapon," a police official said.
Villagers and police searched the area for Gohil's head, but they couldn't find it. Police suspect the killer may have taken the head with him. Gohil's daughter, who lives in a nearby village, registered a complaint of murder at Vadu police station.
