Yesterday, it was Monkey D. Luffy’s birthday and like thousands of fans, the official One Piece Netflix wished our favourite protagonist on X. They tweeted a picture of live-action Luffy, Inaki Godoy and said “Happy Birthday to our captain who’s first to laugh, fight, and welcome someone new!”
In the picture, Inaki was seen wearing Chopper’s iconic hat on his head. This is the first time we’ve seen a glimpse of Chopper (or his hat). Although it is clear that the hat isn’t finished yet, as we can see the pins stuck on the hat to stick the X mark. And we also don’t see any horns on the hat. Most likely, the live-action Chopper will have horns on his hat rather than his body.
In the corner of the picture, we also see a blurred headless body covered in fur. This is most likely Chopper’s live-action body. Given the size of this body and hat, there are two possibilities. First, live-action Chopper is going to be pretty big because they look HUGE! Or this body and hat are actually for Chopper’s Heavy Point transformation — the buff transformation he uses in combat.
One Piece may reveal Chopper at Netflix TUDUM event
Along with the birthday wish for Monkey D. Luffy, the tweet also included a tease for the Netflix TUDUM event. The tweet read, “And trust us, you can’t miss #TUDUM on May 31.” Many fans believe that this tweet, along with Chopper’s hat, might mean that we’re seeing Chopper’s complete look at the TUDUM event on May 31.
A lot of fans have been anxiously waiting to see what Chopper’s live-action look would be like. In Season 2 of the One Piece Live Action, we’re heading to Drum Island. And Chopper is the most important character in this arc. So, how he looks will really affect the experience of the show.
