Solo Leveling has paved the way for new manhwas to get anime adaptations in the future. Now, another manhwa, The Boxer, is possibly getting an anime adaptation via Netflix. As for the current status of the manhwa, it is a completed one and has around 120 chapters.
By the name, one will assume that it is the story of a boxer who rises through the charts and makes a name for himself. But, the story follows a very different procession and surprising elements that are nothing less than goosebumps. Moving ahead, let's have a look at the storyline, characters, and more of The Boxer.
The Boxer manhwa: Expectations from anime adaptation
The Boxer manhwa revolves around Yu, the main protagonist, an emotionless teenager with zero interest in life. It will be safe to say that he behaves like a ghost in a human shell. He has a lot of potential but no one is there to polish him. And then we get to see K making a debut in the story - he is a popular boxing coach who has a history of bringing the monster out in nobodies.
Now, he sees a lot of potential in Yu and he thinks that boy has the will to dominate the boxing ring without breaking a sweat. Once they both collaborate, Yu becomes unstoppable and invincible. The opponents he faces on the battlefield are personifications of human emotions like rage, regret, and a lot more.
Keeping Yu in mind, he is a walking mixture of abuse, stress, and depression, converted into a weapon to eradicate anything and everything that comes in front of him. The manhwa compiles the emotions and the hollowness beautifully for sure.
The anime adaptation of the same was announced back in 2023 and there are chances that we will get to see one in 2025. One thing which we are sure of is that the anime adaptation is going to be full of internal and external battles.
