Anupam pours his heart out in ‘Sanjhbati’ song ‘Khoma Koro’

After winning hearts with the first two songs here comes the third and perhaps the most touching song ‘Khoma Koro’ from Leena Gangopadhyay and Saibal Banerjee directed Sanjhbati which released last Friday (December 20).
It’s a situational song where the lead protagonists go through a rough phase in their life. The song is a heart-wrenching one reflecting the inner pain that the characters are suffering in the narrative.
Written, composed and sung by Anupam Roy, ‘Khoma Koro’ has a hummable tune that catches attention quickly. Also the use of Ghatam percussion in the music adds a melodious rhythm and it works quite well for the emotional song. ‘Khoma Koro’ is worthy of listening.

Produced by Bengal Talkies, ‘Sanjhbati’ is the story of two elderly and lonely parents, played by Soumitra Chatterjee and Lily Chakraborty, who are neglected by their aloof children. While Phuli (Paoli Dam) takes care of Sulekha (Lily Chakraborty), Chadu (Dev) is with Chhana Dadu (Soumitra Chatterjee).
