‘Buro Sadhu’ spreads awareness against alcoholism and intoxication

Debutant director Vik's upcoming ‘Buro Sadhu’ promises to be a nail-biting thriller. With Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead, this psychological thriller follows the journey of a man from boyhood to adulthood starring renowned actors like Chiranjeet Chakraborty, Ishaa Saha, Mishmi Das, Amit Das, Barun Chakraborty, Timir Biswas and Dolon Roy among others.
“The film spreads an awareness against alcoholism and intoxication which every millennial can relate to.The generic storyline explores certain social issues growing rapidly like frustration, depression, anxiety, addiction, believing in myths like addiction enhances creativity and difficulty in maintaining relationships. The film shows various layers of human nature and emotions and one shall be overwhelmed by the end of it,” tells Vik adding that there is some dark humour too in the plot.
‘Buro Sadhu’ revolves around an alcoholic man who is completely lost in his excessive drinking habit. When drunk, in his hallucination he can see his alter ego who seems to be an old sage. That’s why the name of the film is ‘Buro Sadhu’.
Produced by Abir Ghosh, Somnath Ghosh, DNA Networks and Wise Monk Creative, the film is eyeing an October-end release.
