Dev blessed to share the screen with Paran Bandopadhyay and Shakuntala Barua

‘Tonic’ is a story of a retired person who faced many ups and down in life to fulfill his dream to celebrate his special day in a special way. How he succeeds to do so is the crux of the story. The film revolves around a possessive son and his father. It shows how a son’s over-possessiveness affects their relationship.
Dev who will be sharing the screen with one of the leads Paran Bandopadhyay is thrilled to share his shooting experience and admits he is blessed to act alongside Shakuntala Barua.
“People would be amazed to see the kind of stunts Paran da has done in the film. And I am just blessed to have acted alongside an actress of calibre like Shakuntala di. Of course, when we do a film we want it to do well. But I am sure Tonic will be talked about for its mere subject,” said the actor who is also playing the lead in Dhrubo Banerjee’s ‘Golondaaz’.
Meanwhile, Shakuntala Barua who has done innumerable films in the 1980s and 1990s is a bit while talking about the film. “There was a time when the audience saw a lot of my films. Then, there came a slump in my career. But just like a tonic cures a patient, I hope this film will act like a tonic in my career too,” said the veteran actress.
Produced by Bengal Talkies, the family drama also stars Sujan Neel Mukhopadhyay and and Koneenica Bandopadhyay as a married couple.
