Ekavali Khanna’s exciting projects in 2019 make her happy

There are very few actors in India who make the cut for international projects and those that do are hugely appreciated in the country and abroad. Known for her nuanced acting, Ekavali Khanna has been making a mark in critically-acclaimed films like Zed Plus, Daasdev, Bioscopewallah and more. “I love acting and I’m open to good work anywhere whether it is in the Hindi film industry, Bengali film industry or Hollywood,” said the actor whose film What Will People Say was Norway’s official entry to the Oscars.
Her dedication and hard work have brought her many good opportunities. She’s happy that her Indo-Hollywood project, Line of Descent, has received a warm response after its recent trailer launch. “The trailer of the film that stars Brendan Fraser has been accepted well. It also has a smashing cast comprising other Indian actors. I have never done a role similar to the one that I essay in this film. It’s quite a big thing for me and for it we have shot a bit part in Los Angeles,” said Ekavali and added, “The rest was shot in Delhi. It’s a gangster genre film and it’s inspiring for me to be able to bag these different kinds of roles.”
Her talent is being recognised globally as well as closer home. She has also signed a Punjabi film and a Malayalam film. Looking forward to these regional film projects in 2019 has her on a high. “I’m still preparing for them and they will start sometime in the middle of the year. I take one step at a time. I focus completely on my work because I realised I’m the kind of actor who likes being involved in the process of the film,” signed off Ekavali who doesn’t like to divulge much before she completes a project.
