Exclusive pictures from the sets of ‘Akash Ongshoto Meghla’

Rosomoy Bagchi, a common worker in a jute mill suddenly hits the rock bottom when the jute mill gets locked out one fine morning. Being a family man, now Rosomoy’s main concern is to earn bread and butter for his wife and daughter.

On the other hand, Anirban Chakraborty, a bright college student had to drop out to meet the ending after his father loses his job.How they struggle and survive is the story of Joydeep Mukherjee's next directorial.

Titled as ‘Akash Ongshoto Meghla’ it stars Rahul Banerjee, Basabdutta Chatterjee, Ankita Chakraborty and Rudranil Ghosh in key roles. The film is largely inspired by two short stories by Swapnomoy Chakroborty.

It will show the transition period of an old government and the newly formed one and how society adjusts to the changes.

The film has been shot in and around Kolkata and expected to release this summer.
