Gaurav plans to meet cinematographer Soumendu Roy soon

Actor Gaurav Chakrabarty recently posted a picture of himself with cinematographer Soumendu Roy and captioned it, “From the #archives… when the legendary cinematographer Soumendu Roy let me take a look at his camera. With Baba by my side, this picture is extra-special. (sic)”
“Soumendu Roy is most known for his work with noted filmmaker Satyajit Ray. And we all are aware of his work as a cinematographer.Baba (Sabyasachi Chakrabarty) knows Soumendu jethu very well as he has worked with him. In fact, Soumendu jethu has worked with Baba’s production house also in the past. Suddenly I came across this picture and thought of posting it. It must be from a time when I visited the sets where Baba was acting and he was the cinematographer. I remember the last time I met him was at a seminar in honour of Satyajit Ray where people who worked with him spoke about their experience of working with the stalwart. I went there with my parents. After that, I haven’t met Soumendu jethu though I plan to meet him once in the near future as and when the situation improves. There are so many stories to hear from him,” said Gaurav, who just returned from north Bengal where he was busy shooting for a web series.
