Mistake is not a regular love story

���Director SK���s new film Mistake is all about college life, but with a twist
Director SK is from Bangalore but he is a thorough Bengali at heart. No wonder then that his film Mistake, a drama revolving around a group of friends, is set in Bengal. Mistake stars Preeti Jhangiani, Vikram Chatterjee, Sourav and Malabika in the lead roles. Other actors include Indrani Haldar, Biswajit Chakraborty, Dulal Lahiri, Kunal Padhy and Barun Chakraborty.
The film delves into the complexities of friendship, love, sex and betrayal. Though the plot revolves around college kids and their lives, SK hasn���t kept it all hunky dory. The film, instead, focuses on the underlying complexities that these college-goers face. ���Once you come out of the cocoon of a sheltered school life, a lot changes. For most people, this change means a lot of freedom. Misuse of this freedom can lead to grave mistakes that, if not checked, can lead to disastrous results. In my film, I deal with those mistakes,��� says SK.
The director further adds, ���Through my film, I actually try to figure out whose mistake it really is. For example, when a student is offered drugs and gradually he gets addicted to it, is it only the student���s fault? Or is it the fault of the dealer? Or is it the fault of the parents who couldn���t stop the kid from falling into this trap? Or is the government at fault, since it is failing miserably in putting an end to thriving drug rackets in colleges?���
