The shooting of ‘Pradhan’ was in full swing recently in North Bengal and the entire cast including Dev,
Soumitrisha Kundu, Paran Bandyopadhyay, Ambarish Bhattacharya, Koneenica Banerjee, and several others had a blast while shooting in the hills.
Soumitrisha Kundu, who shot to fame due to her compelling performance in the hit mega serial ‘Mithai’, takes on the role of the leading lady in this film.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the shooting schedule, she has also been quite active on social media, especially in making reels that highlight both her creative prowess and the stunning backdrop of North Bengal.
Soumitrisha, ever so enchanted by the region's monsoonal beauty, confessed her love for the
rain and the serenity that accompanies it. "I love getting drenched in the rain," she once commented, underlining her emotional connection with the setting. She has been using this natural ambiance to create reels set to a variety of musical scores. Most notably, she recently crafted a reel to the tune of ‘Chaleya’, a song from
Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film ‘Jawan’.
‘Jawan’, directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Atlee, was released on September 7 and has since taken the nation by storm, shattering numerous records in the process. The film has been so incredibly popular that screenings as early as 5:30 am and as late as 2:15 am are drawing crowds. Its songs have become anthems, driving audiences to their feet in jubilant dance. Among these, the song ‘Chaleya’ has emerged as a social media trend, capturing the imagination of millions. Soumitrisha is the latest celeb to join the trend.
Donning a pink tee-shirt and jeans, and surrendering herself to the joy of rain, Soumitrisha danced gracefully to ‘Chaleya’. She not only executed the song’s signature hookup steps but also incorporated iconic moves famously associated with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. She later posted this captivating reel on social media with a heartfelt caption: "For my @iamsrk. #Jawan #chaleya."
The post was met with an outpouring of public sentiment. Among the numerous responses, one person optimistically remarked, "Sister, I know you will try hard for Pradhan. I pray that you become successful on the big screen as well." Another fan added, "This is good. But post a picture with Dev da," pointing toward the audience's ever-present enthusiasm for more.
