Tragic love stories have always been
Raj Chakraborty's favourite genre. After making some duds, Raj has finally returned to what he does best. Since its release on September 6, Raj’s latest directorial ‘Parineeta’ continues to receive appreciation from the fans and film fraternity as well. The tragic love story has completed 50 days at the box office and Raj can’t thank his fans more.
Even though there are a few flaws in the second half, if you talk about the performance, it’s all about Subhashree Ganguly. The story sees her as Mehul and the twist and turns in the north Kolkata girl’s life.
It’s safe to say Subhashree didn't disappoint at all. She is believable both as a love-sick teenager in the first half and a corporate woman in the second half.
Ritwick Chakraborty has very little to do in the romantic flick. However, the versatile actor as usual brings in a breezy romantic essence in every scene between Babai and Mehul. Gaurav Chakraborty as Mehul's boss Ranadeb Sen also looks believable. Adrit too did justice to his part. ‘Sahaj Paather Goppo’ fame Samiul Alam definitely needsa special mention for his natural and effortless acting playing Mehul's brother.
Arko’s music is one of the strongest points of ‘Parineeta’. Especially, ‘Tomake’ by Shreya Ghoshal and ‘Shei Tumi’ by Arko himself stay with you even after the film.
