Rahul Banerjee got a new best friend during the lockdown

Rahul Banerjee got a new best friend during the lockdown

Actor Rahul Banerjee had brought home a Shih Tzu puppy just ahead of the March lockdown. In fact, the actor had fallen in love with the puppy the moment he laid eyes on him. But initially, he couldn’t spend much time with his furry friend. "My mother was raising him; I would just pet him a little when I was home," Rahul said.
But the lockdown changed all that. Without any shoot to attend, Rahul had all the time for the puppy.

And soon, they became best friends. "He is very playful and doesn’t spend a moment without me. I think this is my biggest gain during the lockdown. I have got a new friend who will never betray me," he said with a smile.
The actor is working on his script now and spending time with his new-found friend. But he is tight-lipped about his project, which he also plans to direct.
Rahul told us that he was supposed to start working in Indrasish Acharya's Maya Bhoy, but the lockdown put a spanner in the works. "For the film, we needed to travel to the Northeast and that’s not possible till the situation is better," he added. The film also features Tota Roychowdhury and Anuradha Mukherjee.
