Rituparna sum up the concept of mature love story in ‘Ittar’, excited to share screen with Deepak Tijori

Rituparna will be seen opposite Deepak Tijori in National Award-winning filmmaker Veena Bakshi's next film 'Ittar' which is a striking tale of a mature relationship between a middle-age couple. The film's first look poster featuring the protagonists is already out.

Rituparna Sengupta is all too excited for her next Hindi film, Veena Bakshi directed ‘Ittar’ which sees seasoned actor Deepak Tijori’s much-awaited big screen comeback. The first-look motion poster of the relationship drama was released on Valentine’s Day and it has already created quite a lot of buzz.
An excited Rituparna shared the poster on her Instagram handle along with an emotional note.

“Fortunate are those whom life offers a second chance at love and happiness. A middle age couple finds comfort in each other ... But love at this age is not easy,” wrote the popular actor seeking everyone’s blessings.

Earlier speaking about ‘Ittar, Rituparna had tole ETimes, “It is a sweet yet mature love story that depicts the unusual nuances of two people from completely different backgrounds, who meet in different circumstances. The story of the film is actually about a middle-aged couple who find love and comfort in each other’s company. Deepak Tijori has been cast opposite me in this film.”
For the unversed, Deepak Tijori was last seen in the 2018 film ‘Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3’ and his new look in the ‘Ittar’ poster in indeed interesting, especially when this is a film exploring the complexities in mature relationships.
Veena Bakshi, the National Award-winning filmmaker has previously directed ‘The Coffin Maker’ starring Naseeruddin Shah, Randeep Hooda and Apoorva Sharma. In ‘Ittar’, Rituparna will be seen playing the role of Abha, who is a school teacher. “The film will show how Abha meets Deepak Tijori’s character and then how their lives get entangled. It is a beautiful love story penned by Veena,” said the actress.

The seasoned actress is also playing one of the protagonists in Kabir Lal’s upcoming thriller 'Antardrishti'. It also stars two popular actors from Bengal Sean Banerjee and Indrajit Chakraborty. The film is a revenge thriller that’s been shot in four languages - Bengali, Marathi, Tamil and Kannada. Rituparna is playing the lead in the Bengali version. She's also playing the lead in 'Bansuri' alongside Anurag Kashyap.
