Veteran actor Sabitri Chatterjee is returning to the big screen with Sharmistha Deb’s upcoming film ‘Kadambari Aajo’ which also has Ankita Chakraborty playing the titular role of Kadambari. The film was shot just before the second wave in Kolkata and north Bengal.

The film also has Amitabh Bhattacharya, Indrajit Majumder, Biswajit Chakraborty, Rajdeep Sarkar, Arkaprava, Srijani Mitra and Rumki Chatterjee in important roles.
In ‘Kadambari Aajo’, the plot revolves around a successful filmmaker Kadambari who gets married at an early age. Her husband is busy in his own world. Kadambari goes to north Bengal to shoot for a film and there she meets an English professor (played by Amitabh) and a relationship develops between them. Ultimately what happens to Kadambari is the crux of the story. The film also shows that men want to flaunt that they are into a relationship with a strong woman but in real life, they can’t accept that because of their ego.

The film has already earned appreciation in its festival rounds and now it is slated to release in theatres on September 23.
