Sayantan Ghosal to make next 'Tenida'

Tenida and his merry band of goons are returning to the big screen. If all goes according plan, Sayantan Ghosal will don the director hat for the film based on the iconic literary character created by Narayan Gangopadhyay and it will be made under the banner of Surinder Films.
Industry insiders reveal Kanchan Mullick will play the titular character of Tenida. Comedy legend Chinmoy Roy had made the iconic Tenida character famous in the first big screen adaptation of Tenida in ‘Chaarmurti’ (1978) directed by Umanath Bhattacharya.Then a second film ‘Tenida’ was made in 2011 directed by Chinmoy Roy himself. Subhasish Mukherjee was seen as Tenida.
Sayantan is planning to make his film based on the story ‘Jhau Bungalow Rahashya’. Beside Kanchan Mullick, Gaurav Chakrabarty will be seen in a key role. For the rest of the cast, Tenida’s sidekicks Habul, Pyala and Kyabla will see new faces. The film will go on the floors next month.
