Sayantani Guhathakurta is relieved to get back to the shooting floors. The actress recently completed her shooting portion in Raajhorshee’s Dey’s next film ‘
Maya’ and she’s now eagerly waiting to start working on her upcoming projects.
“I will be seen as Chumki, a simple girl but she eventually becomes a negative character because of the circumstances. It was a great experience playing this character as the different shades in it were quite challenging.
But in real life, I am completely the opposite to Chumki and that’s the challenge I had to take while slipping into the character,” Sayantani shared.
‘Maya’ is a dark film based on William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The film will features filmmaker
Srijit Mukherji’s wife
Rafiath Rashid MithilaGourav Chakrabarty, Rahul,
Tnusree Chakraborty,
Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Gourab Chatterjee, Koneenica Banerjee, Ronita Das, Devlina Kumar,
Sudiptaa Chakraborty, and others in pivotal roles.
Interestingly, not just playing such a challenging character, Sayantani is also relieved to face the camera once again, especially on a shooting floor. “The two subsequent lockdowns made me feel like I will never return to the sets and act in films. Many projects were put on hold and I was struggling to remain positive and productive since last year. But, the moment I was in front of the camera, all negativities just vanished,” Sayantani added.
