Spotted: Parambrata shooting for Cinemawala

Filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly, actor Parambrata Chatterjee, DoP Soumik Halder and veteran actress Alokananda Ray shoot for Cinemawala at a city studio on Monday morning.
The film focuses on the sad state of single-screen theatres and how it affects a father-son relationship
The cast has has veterans like Paran Bandopadhyay, Biswanath Basu, Bimal Chakraborty and others. Said producer Shrikant Mohta of Shree Venkatesh Films, "This movie is our tribute to those brave single screen exhibitors, who are struggling for existence in this industry.Be it a producer, director or exhibitor, we all are cinemawalas trying to reach out to the audience."

"The shift from celluloid to digital platform has been a game changer in the exhibition of cinema. Sixty to 70% of single screen theatres are closing down. Those who own single screen theatres are finding it difficult to run them, but are continuing in the business for the love and passion for cinema. Today, the entire world faces this problem. In this film, we have shown how two generations have different ways of dealing in business. Arunda plays a projectionist and an old friend of Paranda," informed the director.
