Sujan Mukherjee is playing an interesting role in Indraadip Das Gupta’s upcoming film ‘Agantuk’ which sees
Abir Chatterjee and
Sohini Sarkar in the lead. “I play Sohini’s son. But I can’t reveal more than that. The story of Indraadip’s film is very interesting. I am so happy that his debut film, Kedara, bagged the Special Jury Award (Feature Film) at the National Film Awards. The story chronicles the life of an elderly woman, who is found dead at her residence one morning.
The question is, is it a murder or an accident? It is a drama in the guise of a thriller,” said the seasoned actor.
According to Indraadip it’s a drama with elements of a thriller. How things unfold after a murder takes place is what the film is all about. Is it a murder or an accident? That’s what the film narrates. It’s also a social drama keeping the senior citizens in the center of the story.
The film also stars Mousumi, Sidhu, Devlina Kumar, Daminee Benny Basu and Debapratim Dasgupta in key roles.
While the music has been composed by Indraadip himself the screenplay and dialogue are by Padmanabha Dasgupta. Sirsha Ray has helmed the cinematography department. ‘Agantuk’ was supposed to release in April but due to the lockdown in the wake of the pandemic it got postponed.
