Tnusree’s excited about zombie film!

Tnusree Chakraborty is all geared up for her new film, Zombiesthaan. She even shared the film’s first poster on social media. Zombiesthaan is a post-apocalyptic adventure and Bengal’s first zombie film. It is set in the year 2030, when, in an event called Black Day, a mysterious bio-chemical weapon infects a vast majority of the world population and turns people into ferocious, insane cannibals.Governments fall and all telecommunications systems go out of order. The world gets destroyed and barely 5% of the population is still alive. Under these circumstances, a female survivor called Akira (Tnusree) travels through the wastelands of Bengal, in search for a possible safe zone established by the military to protect the VVIPs of the state. The film follows her journey. During her travels, she comes across Anil Chatterjee (Rudranil Ghosh), a recluse who has turned his house into a fortress and believes that the era of humans is over.
Talking about her character in the film, the actress said, “I play the protagonist and the film is about my journey. I was blown away by the video director Abhirup Ghosh had made on zombies.It’s a completely new idea that got me hooked. At a time when Bengali films are made on a tight budget, executing a film like this is a tough job. I am happy that a director has tried to do something so different! In the film, I have experimented with my look too.” Tnusree said the shoot is already on and will take a while to complete.
