After working in
Madhur Bhandarkar’s Indu Sarkar, Tota Roy Choudhury has bagged a role in another Hindi film. The actor is currently in London shooting for
Ribhu Dasgupta’s film that is tentatively titled Mira. The film is an official remake of the 2016 thriller
featuring Emily Blunt.
Said Tota, “I am currently in London. This film is a remake of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel titled The Girl On the Train.
Parineeti Chopra plays the titular role. It’s an ensemble cast comprising
Aditi Rao Hydari,
Kirti Kulhari, Avinash Tiwari and me.”
Tate Taylor’s original movie follows a divorcee who gets entangled in a missing person’s investigation that promises to send shockwaves throughout her life. In Ribhu’s film, Parineeti is playing an alcoholic divorcee, who becomes involved in a missing person's investigation. However, Tota is bound by a confidentiality clause and can’t reveal the details about his character. “I can’t speak about which character I am playing in the film. Ribhu personally called
me up to offer the role. He only requested me to grow my beard as it would suit the role that I play,” he concluded.
