Victor Banerjee turns spiritual guru in upcoming biopic

Veteran actor Victor Banerjee plays a spiritual guru in an upcoming biopic titled ‘The Answer’. It’s based on the life of yoga guru Paramhansa Yogananda's late American devotee James Donald Walters, best known as Swami Kriyananda. The biopic, releasing on August 31, narrates the true story of Swami Kriyananda's experience as he devoted his life to spiritual leader Paramhansa Yogananda in California.It’s directed by Pawan Kaul and the distribution part has been handled by Panorama Studios, led by renowned producer Kumar Mangat.
In the film, Victor will be seen as yoga guru Yogananda and his performance in ‘The Answer’ has already won him accolades at several international film festivals where the biopic has already been premiered.
Born in Gorakhpur, Yogananda left for the US in 1920 and spread awareness on yoga there until his death in 1952. He used to preach ‘Kriya Yoga’ and meditation to many Americans. His ‘Autobiography of a Yogi’ is touted to be a spiritual classic since it was released in 1946.
