Wherever he is today, I want him to be in peace: Chiranjeet on Tapas Paul

They are contemporaries and worked together in many films. No wonder, actor Chiranjeet is still in shock after hearing about the demise of Tapas Paul. The veteran actor-turned-politician succumbed to an cardiac arrest early on Tuesday, according to family sources. He was 61.
Remembering his co-actor, Chiranjeet said, “Today is a sad day. I lost my brother. He was a great actor, whose life was rightly framed by Tarunda (Majumdar) in Dadar Kirti.A simple boy came from Chandannagar, shot to fame just like the character and after much struggle, sang Charana Dhorite Dio Go Amare on screen. His simplicity, sweet smile and great acting skills were liked in every household. He became a star. And like a shooting star, he vanished from the scene. He joined politics, but could never become a shrewd politician. That is what I regret the most. I pray for his soul. Wherever he is today, I want him to be in peace.”
