Why Birsa is so proud
Birsa Dasgupta is a proud father. Only last year, his seven-year-old daughter, Ida, debuted with his film, Shob Bhooturey — a ghost story. And on Saturday, the little one lifted the trophy for best debutante actor at an awards show. Birsa wrote on FB: “Ida Dasgupta bags best debut actor of the year for Shob Bhooturey at the Star Jalsha Parivar Awards!” Later in the evening, at the wedding of Sudeshna Roy’s son, Shaket, the little star was busy explaining the moment to a host of people.

Birsa’s films, One and Shob Bhooturey, were also honoured with a handful of awards. While Prosenjit Chatterjee bagged the award for Best Villain for One, Nusrat and Yash were adjudged the Best Pair for the same film. Abir Chatterjee was declared as the Best Actor for Shob Bhooturey.
