Debojyoti Mishra, a music composer, violinist, known for his songs for so many Bengali, Hindi films celebrated his music recently.
June 21 is the World Music Day and the music composer celebrated it through a mega concert His Master's Songs where he shared so many stories behind his songs. Songs were performed by singers like Rupankar Bagchi (Kaal Raate Tomay Mone Porchhilo ),Manomay Bhattacharya ( Shono Kono Ekdin ), Raghab Chatterjee ( Piya Tora Kaisa Abhiman ) , Subhamita Banerjee ( Sakhi Hum ), Iman Chakraborty ( Mathura Nagarpati ), Shovan Ganguly( Karar Oi Lauhakapat ), Anwesha Dutta Gupta ( Megher Palok ), Mekhla Dasgupta ( Na Mono Lagena ), Aritra Dasgupta ( Megh Piyon ) and so on.
Lakkhichhara fame Debaditya Chowdhury accompanied on the piano with two songs Chal Rastay Saji Tramline ( Porshia Sen ), Zindagi Kaisi Hai Pahli Hai ( Raghab Chatterjee). Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee was responsible for a freewheeling conversation with all the artistes including Debojyoti Mishra.
Debojyoti said, "It's an evening of stories behind songs, emotional connection that I had with master's like Salil Chowdhury,
Satyajit Ray and a friend like Rituparno Ghosh and many others, singers who had lent their voice to many of our immortal creations. It's an evening to celebrate our musical bonding. The musicians also need a special mention for their soulful contribution to the evening.”
