Ahead of its theatrical release on August 15, here comes a brand new song ‘Aleya’ from Pratim D Gupta’s upcoming thriller ‘Shantilal O Projapoti Rohoshyo’.
Interestingly, this song marks the debut of director Pratim D Gupta as a lyricist and he has mastered the art. The word Aleya which is often referred to a misleading impression of fire has been used in the song as a metaphor.

The song guides us through the turmoil of protagonist Shantilal who is seeking the truth but not sure which path will ultimately lead him to the right destination and which paths are just misleading as Aleya.

The song has been composed nicely by Arko and Nikhita Gandhi’s voice has added the intended sense of mystery. Also the animation work has delivered a refreshing look.
Ritwick Chakraborty plays the titular role of staff reporter Shantilal Bhattacharya who will decode the mystery. This is the fourth time Ritwick is working with Pratim. Beside Ritwick, Paoli Dam will play the female lead, a popular actress Nandita.
While Ritwick will be seen as the journalist, noted director Goutam Ghose will essay out his editor’s role. The film also has Ambarish Bhattacharya, Shankar Chakraborty and Satarupa Ghosh in key roles. There will be a cameo by Srijit Mukherji as well.
