Riddhi plans a special gift for father Kaushik Sen

As Kaushik Sen turned a year younger today, his son, Riddhi, shared a heart-warming message on social media. “After getting wished for two fake birthdays this year… the day finally arrives, a very happy birthday to the person who is always changing , recreating , reinventing and redefining ‘his ‘ time in his own way , a person who has always taken a path which is anything but easy, I have seen very few people who is the live example of Dylan’s famous line , 'he knows there's no success like failure and that failure's no success at all'.Thank you for always keeping ‘goodness’ in demand , love you. This is a picture which is extremely close to my heart, inside our temple, the basement of a famous theatre hall,” he wrote.
Riddhi, who won the National Award last year for Kaushik Ganguly’s Nagarkirtan and credits his parents for the feat, said his father is not much of a birthday person. “On Wednesday, baba, ma (Reshmi Sen), Surangana (Bandopadhyay), Rajorshi (Nag) and I went to watch a movie. Ma and I also bought him clothes for the special occasion. At home, there was a delectable dinner that we thoroughly enjoyed and also indulged in a long adda,” he said. Riddhi said he has a better gift planned that has to wait for a bit. “After Puja, we’ll be travelling to London, where I want to buy him a book from the book store at the National Theatre,” said Riddhi, adding that all of them had separate shoots on Thursday that kept them busy.
