Theatre group collects funds to help Satish Shaw

As part of Theatre Workshop's 52nd anniversary celebrations, the members have decided to help ailing theatre worker Satish Shaw. On July 12, after staging their new production, Dirgha Din Dwagdho Raat, the members handed over Rs 10,000 to another theatre personality Seema Mukhopadhyay. “Besides this, we are trying to help Satish personally,” said Loknath Dey, one of the key members of the group.While celebrating its anniversary at the Academy of Fine Arts, the group has kept a collection box meant for Satish’s treatment.
