A few -like Oprah Winfrey and Queen Latifah -have come forward to tell their stories in a bid to warn parents about paedophiles. Here's looking at stars who recently opened up about being molested when they were kids. ASHLEY JUDD The Double Jeopardy actress wrote in her shocking book that she's a victim of incest. She also described other incidents from the time she was 14, after her parents' divorce. Ashley won a high-school beauty contest, and bagged a modelling contract in Japan. Her nightmare continued there -she wrote that a Frenchman who gave her a ride tried to rape her, a male model tried to force her into oral sex and her manager made advances on her.

TERI HATCHER The Desperate Housewives star was forced into an incestuous affair by her 35-year-old uncle, Richard Hayes Stone. It started when she was five years old and lasted for two years. In 2002, she found out that one of Stone's 14-year-old victims had committed suicide. She told her own story to his prosecutors, and as a result, Stone was charged with 14 years in jail. MARY J. Singer Mary J Blige was molested by a family friend when she was five years old. “It followed me all my life, the shame of thinking my molestation was my fault -it led me to believe I wasn't worth anything,“ she told a magazine.
GABRIEL BYRNE The Irish actor was 11 and training to become a priest at a seminary school in Dublin, when he was molested twice by the priests there. He feels many of his “issues“ could be attributed to the abuse. “It took many years to come to terms with it and to forgive those incidents that I felt had deeply hurt me,“ he said.
MACKENZIE PHILLIPS: The actress claimed on a talk show that her father, singer John Phillips, drugged her as a child, and she “woke up from a blackout to find myself having sex with him.“ The incidents allegedly continued until she got pregnant. MacKenzie later wrote a book about the experience.
TYLER PERRY: The actor and filmmaker claimed that his childhood molestation left him feeling like he “died as a child“. He said he was sexually abused by four different adults. Apart from a male neighbour who molested him when he was five, he also recounted a man his family respected, performing offensive acts on him.
