Cate Blanchett doesn’t like being called a Hollywood actress

Cate Blanchett, who has two Academy Awards to her credit, and has appeared in nearly 48 films, has recently revealed that she doesn’t like being called a ‘Hollywood actress’.

The 46-year-old actress, in an interview to a popular magazine, said, “That’s what they say about you when they want to insult you.”
The Australian star went on to say that she steers clear of social media, and advises young actresses to do the same, as it creates a culture of ‘self-consciousness'.
