Charlie B. Foster is set to play a recurring role in Scarpetta. This will be his first major acting role, and he has already completed filming for three out of four episodes. In the show, he takes on the role of Wingo, an assistant working in the morgue.
Foster, who is the son of award-winning actress Jodie Foster, is joining a star-studded cast that includes
Nicole Kidman and
Jamie Lee Curtis. Scarpetta is based on Patricia Cornwell’s popular book series, following the story of Kay Scarpetta (played by Kidman), a Chief Medical Examiner who returns to Virginia to reclaim her old position. As she resumes her work, she faces complicated relationships—both personal and professional—including with her sister Dorothy, played by Curtis. The series will unravel deep-seated grudges and hidden secrets.
In addition to Kidman and Curtis, Scarpetta features well-known actors such as Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Rosy McEwen, Jake Cannavale, Ariana DeBose, and Hunter Parrish.
Foster is also set to appear in upcoming films Sparks and Soyboy. He has previously worked on HBO shows The Garcias and The Ha Festival and has been involved in several podcast projects, including Popcorn for Dinner (Apple), The Coldest Case (Audible), and Supreme (iHeart).
The series is being produced by Blumhouse Television and Amazon MGM Studios in partnership with Blossom Films and Comet Pictures. Nicole Kidman is one of the executive producers for Blossom Films, while Jamie Lee Curtis is producing through Comet Pictures. Liz Sarnoff is the showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Patricia Cornwell is also involved as an executive producer alongside Jason Blum, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, and Chris McCumber from Blumhouse Television, as well as Per Saari from Blossom Films. David Gordon Green and Amy Sayres are also part of the executive production team.
Foster is represented by Luber-Roklin Entertainment and Zoom Talent.
