Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt reached a significant milestone in 2023 by winning the National Award for Best Actress for her role in 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Now, actress Sara Ali Khan has shared her admiration for the Jigra actress and admitted to feeling envious of her success.
During an interview with NDTV, Sara shared her honest reaction to Alia Bhatt’s National Award win. “When Alia got the National Award, I was like, ‘God, she got it, she has a kid as well, her life is set.’ But I don’t know what she went through to get that. I, as an actor, dehumanised her. You don’t know—she must have had challenges and disappointments too, to reach where she is. But I didn’t realise what went into it. There are two sides to every coin,” she added.

Sara further shared that when people become envious of others, there is a tendency to ignore the struggles behind their success. She pointed out that people often see only the achievements but overlook the hardships. She described envy as a form of ‘blindness’.
Sara made her Bollywood debut with 'Kedarnath' alongside the late Sushant Singh Rajput. She was last seen in Skyforce with Veer Pahariya and Akshay Kumar.

Meanwhile, in 2022, Alia made headlines with the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi. She tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor in April, and later in November, the couple welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor.
Alia was last seen in Vasan Bala’s 'Jigra' alongside Vedang Raina. However, the film failed to impress at the box office. She is now busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 'Love & War', alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
