Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have a long history of teasing each other in public, often turning their friendship into a fun rivalry. But recently, Hugh’s latest joke during a live show in New York has sparked rumors that their light-hearted banter might be turning a bit more serious. At the same time, Ryan Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, and actor Justin Baldoni have been making headlines due to a rumored controversy, which has only added to the public interest.
According to a report by Daily Mail, Hugh made a playful yet pointed remark about Ryan while performing at Radio City Music Hall. During his stage show titled 'From New York, With Love,' Hugh took a moment to share a funny story about working on the upcoming 'Deadpool & Wolverine' movie. Although he said he had a great time filming and loved the experience, he jokingly complained about being left out of one major scene—a musical number.
He explained to the audience that, apart from the opening scene where Deadpool is looking for Wolverine, he appears alongside Ryan Reynolds in nearly every part of the movie. However, he said that the one scene he was excluded from was a dance sequence that used an NSYNC song. Hugh pointed out that Ryan is one of the film's writers and teased that Ryan decided to leave him out of the dance. Laughing with the audience, he said, “Don’t tell Ryan,” making it sound light-hearted but with a hint of real disappointment.
Hugh also joked that Ryan didn’t even dance himself but used a dance double named Nick Pauley, who is much younger. Hugh added he wouldn’t try to copy Nick’s moves but decided to perform his own version of the dance with the help of his trainer Beth Lewis, who used to be a dancer. He wanted to give his own spin on the scene he missed.
To entertain the crowd and “impress” Ryan, Hugh danced to NSYNC’s hit 'Bye Bye Bye.' His version involved jump-roping throughout the choreography, showing off his fitness and coordination. He even ended the performance with a dramatic jump and landed perfectly on the rope. His backup dancers joined in, and the group performed in sync, drawing cheers from the audience.
Before the performance started, Hugh made a humorous comment saying that if he did well, his trainer might let him skip training on Monday. The whole moment was funny and full of energy, but fans couldn’t help but wonder if Hugh’s comments reflected some real feelings behind the scenes.
While the feud still seems friendly on the surface, some fans are beginning to think there might be more to the story, especially with all the buzz surrounding Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Whether it’s all in good fun or a sign of something deeper, Hugh’s performance has sparked curiosity among fans.
