Jennifer Garner recently opened up about how she got in shape for her cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. In her Instagram post, she shared details about her fitness routine to prepare for her role as Elektra, a character she first played in the 2005 film Elektra.

At 52 years old, Jennifer revealed that while she was in good shape, she needed to get specifically “Marvel fit” for her role. She posted a video showing her intense training regimen. She worked with her longtime stunt double, Shauna Duggins, and followed a rigorous workout plan set by trainer Beth J. Nicely. This included daily workouts, boxing three times a week with coach FLVCO, and using the Peloton bike led by instructor Bec Gentry. Jennifer described the experience as a “SuperHeroSummer,” where she and her team enjoyed training and preparing for her return as Elektra.
