They are watching in Kolkata."<br /><br />It is the story of two documentary filmmakers who chronicle their time in Sonagchi, Calcutta and the relationships they developed with children of prostitutes who work the city''s notorious red light district. <br /><br />Since 1998, Briski, a British photographer, has been trekking back and forth to Calcutta, originally moving into a brothel to document the lives of India''s sex workers. <br /><br />While documenting the experiences of prostitutes in Sonagachi, she befriended many of their children and decided to give them cameras to take photos of the world they lived in.<br /><br />In Sonagachi, she became entranced with the children, who followed her everywhere, asking endless questions. <br /><br />She bought 10 basic cameras and taught the most curious ones how to shoot pictures, and then sent them out to capture their worlds.<br /><br />The documentary was pitted against <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">The Story of the Weeping Camel, Super Size Me, Tupac: Resurrection </span>and<span style="" font-style:="" italic=""> Twist of faith.</span><br /><br /><br /> <br /> </div> </div>
