Sharon Stone is set to star in 'Lovelace'. The 'Basic Instinct' star will portray the mother of
Linda Lovelace in the biopic about the late US pornographic actress - who famously starred in 1972 film 'Deep Throat' - and her turbulent relationship with her husband Chuck Traynor.
'Jennifer's Body' actress
Amanda Seyfried will play the titular character, with
Peter Sarsgaard believed to be the running to play her spouse in the movie, which is being directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.
The film examines the relationship between Linda and Chuck, who steered his spouse into the adult movie industry, before she eventually quit and sought a divorce from her husband.
Andy Bellin and W. Merritt Johnson have penned the script for the film, which is based on the Eric Danville's book 'The Complete Linda Lovelace'.
Another biopic about Linda, entitled 'Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story' is currently in the works featuring 'Watchmen' actress
Malin Akerman in the lead role.
Controversial actress
Lindsay Lohan was previously lined up to play Linda in the biopic - which will be released next year - but she was axed from the project last year
