Tom Holland’s next big adventure as the superhero ‘Spider-Man', now has a title!
After having a little fun on the internet by sharing fake titles of the film, Tom got together with co-stars
Zendaya and Jacob Batalon to reveal that the third part of the franchise will be named ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
The trio got together to film a video that had the title doodled on a white-board.
This title reveal happens while Tom argues with his co-stars “Name one movie that I have actually spoiled.”
“The last movie...” Zendaya says.
This refers to the spoilers the actor accidentally revealed, whether it was about the ‘Spider-Man’ or ‘Avengers’ series.
Holland also famously revealed that the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ directors – the Russo brothers – gave him a script with fake scenes just so that he wouldn’t accidentally reveal major plot details.
While the title dropped in the early hours of Thursday morning, Twitterati and Marvel fans seemed occupied creating memes and trying to decode the fake titles that included – ‘Spider-Man: Phone Home’, ‘Spider-Man: Home Slice’ and ‘Spider-Man: Home-wrecker’.
Although the titles were just a promotional activity, fans seemed convinced that the titles hinted at the opening up of the ‘Spider-Verse’ in this film. The third part of the Tom Holland-lead franchise will have Benedict Cumberbatch joining in to play Peter Parker’s mentor. It is unclear though if the events of ‘No Way Home’ will lead up to ‘Doctor Strange: Into the Multiverse of Madness’.
‘Spider-Man 3’ will also bring back some fan-favourite characters, including super-villains like Electro, Vulture and Doctor Octopus.
The film is currently slated for a Christmas 2021 release.
