The opening night on Broadway saw a large turnout of Robert Downey Jr.'s celebrity buddies cheering him on!
Robert Downey Jr. starred in ‘McNeal’, a new play by the Pulitzer-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar. On Monday, September 30, at the McNeal opening night performance at Lincoln Center Theater in New York City, the Oscar-winning actor was accompanied by his spouse, Susan Downey, on the red carpet.
Just before leaving for the show, Jason Bateman, Matt Damon, Paul Rudd, Will Arnett, and Justin Theroux posed for pictures.
Steven Spielberg and his spouse Kate Capshaw, Oscar Isaac and his spouse Elvira Lind, Matthew Rhys, F. Murray Abraham, and Nicole Brydon Bloom, Justin's fiancée, were also present. Along with Melora Hardin, Rafi Gavron, Brittany Bellizeare, Saisha Talwar, and Tony winners Andrea Martin and Ruthie Ann Miles, Robert's co-stars were joined on the red carpet.
In summary, Jacob McNeal (Downey Jr.) is a phenomenal writer, among the best of all time, and a consistent contender for the Nobel Prize in Literature. However, in addition to these things, McNeal has an unhealthy preoccupation with artificial intelligence, an estranged son, a new novel, and old grievances.
