#VarshaAnubhavFallout: Varsha gets police protection

Actress Varsha Priyadarshini has sought police protection, alleging that she’s worried about her safety and security after two strangers allegedly clicked photos and shot videos of her room while she was receiving a food delivery. She’s still staying the same building as her husband Anubhav Mohanty and his family.Both of the couple have filed separate petitions in different courts against each other after six years of marriage.

The actress thanked Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Cuttack, for providing her police protection in a social media post late this evening.

While Varsha accused Anubhav of domestic violence through a petition filed in the SDJM Court, Cuttack, Anubhav had filed a divorce petition in the court of the principal judge, family court, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi, accusing his wife of cruelty and non-cooperation in their married life.
Speaking about today’s development, Varsha’s advocate Rama Krushna Rath told the press, “Since two people recorded videos of her room, she lodged the police complaint and police went to check on her. She will stay in her in-law's house and fight the case from there.”
Anubhav, too, released a video on social media today that shows Varsha celebrating the recent Ganesh Puja at his house with his family members and asked, “If she feels there has been any domestic violence against her, why has she been staying in our house?”
Later in the evening, Varsha shared a social media post that rubbished Anubhav’s claims. She pointed out that if the MP feels it’s a private matter, he shouldn’t have issued the press release from his official MP pad. “I was objecting to his intake of liquor, which is not good for his health, since he is a diabetic. But he kept on torturing me for that. Even though I was aware of his extra marital affairs, I was trying my best to protect my marriage. Whatever he says or shows, I would try to save my marriage and I want to be Anubhav’s wife till my last breath since I have loved him,” she said in the post.
